The name Pushpa comes from a Saint’s name: Saint Theresa of Lisieus. Little Theresa was born in 1873 Jan 2 at Alenso in France.

She was the fifth daughter of her parents Luie Martin and Ceiline Guerin.

She lived a very saintly life. Child like simplicity, utter humility, constant self-sacrifice and boundless love for God and Trust in Him were some of her most outstanding virtues. Her life’s intention was to love-love God and Humanity. She said, “I will pour out flowers from heaven after my death”. She has been a “Little Flowers” for all those who came in touch with her. She died on 30th Sept., 1897 at the age of 24.

“Students trained in Character and Knowledge shall grow like beautiful and fragrant flowers doing good to Society”.
